MATC Offering Four New IT Certificates through U.S. Department of Labor Grant

As a part of INTERFACE, a statewide Wisconsin Technical College System initiative to develop, improve and expand adult training pathways to careers in information technology related occupations, Milwaukee Area Technical College is offering four new Information Technology certificates. The WTCS received a $23,177,882 U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance for Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) grant to support the project; MATC received $2,092,798 for the college’s Computer Support Specialist associate degree program.

“This federal grant will support dynamic course development in a rapidly changing industry sector,” said MATC President Dr. Michael L. Burke said when the grant was announced. “I appreciate the involvement of several advisory committee members on this project to ensure that we are meeting the workforce needs of area IT companies.”
